Celebrating Friendship and Community Service, Beyond Borders: Taiwan, Sri Lanka Youth Exchange Programme 2026
The YMCA of Batticaloa is deeply honoured to have hosted the Taiwan–Sri Lanka Youth Exchange Programme 2026, in partnership with Taichung YMCA, Taiwan, under the guidance and coordination of the National Council of YMCAs of Sri Lanka (NCY Sri Lanka).
On behalf of the YMCA of Batticaloa, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to NCY Sri Lanka for placing their trust in us and providing the opportunity to organize and host this remarkable international youth exchange. It was a privilege to welcome the delegates from Taichung YMCA and facilitate a programme that celebrated friendship, cultural understanding, and global cooperation.
Throughout the exchange, participants experienced an inspiring journey of learning, sharing, and discovery. The programme created meaningful opportunities for young people from both countries to engage in Community Service, cultural activities, community interactions, leadership development, and collaborative discussions. These experiences fostered mutual respect while strengthening the bonds between our two nations.
Our delegates proudly showcased the rich heritage, traditions, hospitality, and values of Sri Lanka, while embracing the opportunity to learn about the vibrant culture, customs, and perspectives of Taiwan. Every activity, conversation, and shared experience contributed to lasting friendships and unforgettable memories that will continue to inspire future generations.
